Gas work is licensed work, everywhere in NSW, with no exceptions for small jobs. Everything on this page is carried out by licensed gas fitters and tested before sign-off.

Leave the building before you do anything else. From outside, call Jemena on 131 909, any hour. They run the gas distribution network in the Hunter and a suspected leak is their call first, not a plumber's. Call 000 if anyone is in danger. Once the network side is safe, a licensed gas fitter handles anything on your side of the meter. What happens next explains the whole sequence.
What we do
- Cooktop, oven and stove installation, including changeovers from electric.
- Gas hot water: installation, repair and maintenance of storage and continuous flow systems.
- Gas appliance servicing and replacement: heaters, fireplaces, and the appliances that came with the house and have never been looked at.
- Gas lines: new runs, extensions to an outdoor kitchen or barbecue point, and repairs to damaged pipe.
- Leak testing and safety checks, including pre-purchase and rental compliance checks, so you know the system is tight rather than assuming it.
